I am a PhD student at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I am enrolled in the PhD program at UTA with a major in Computer Science. My adviser is Dr. Gautam Das. I am a part of the Database Exploration Laboratory headed by Dr. Das.

After spending three years in Teeexas, I have gotten addicted to the good old grad school life with late nights and cheap coffee. During the summers I try to take a break from the Texas heat and head over to cooler pastures. Summer 2007 was spent in Seattle where I interned for the DMX group at Microsoft Research. I spent another summer (08) in the west coast, this time in Palo Alto, CA interning for the Data Insight team at Nokia Research Center.

Personal

I am from the Calcutta (aka City of Joy). Another place I call home is Chennai where I had spent six years of my life. I love traveling, politics and debating on social and political topics. After a recent trip to the doctor and repeated warnings from friends and family, I have decided to list outdoor (physically demanding but fun .... hmmm, I was stumped by that one too!) activities in my to-do list of interests. Wish me luck on this one!
